Job Description
- Support Senior Structurers: Assist senior structurers in the origination, marketing, design, and execution of both standard and bespoke structured products. This includes transactions in
fixed income instruments, asset-backed securitization (such as CLO, CBO, CMO, MBS, IABS, etc.), bank capital instruments, currency and commodity asset classes, as well as related funds, indices, ETFs, and managed accounts;
- Bespoke Asset-Backed Securitization: Aid in the origination, marketing, design, and execution of bespoke asset-backed securitization in private placement formats; Collaborate with external parties and internal stakeholders to customize features tailored to targeted clients;
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including departments of risk, legal, compliance, operations, finance, treasury, and product control, to secure solutions
or approvals;
- Lifecycle Support: Provide support in the monitoring, valuation, corporate actions, and portfolio adjustments throughout the lifecycle of structured products, based on client requests;
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with sales teams or engage directly with clients to market and discuss products or trade ideas;
- Cross-Unit Collaboration: Actively work with other business units within groups to enhance cross-selling opportunities and deal execution;
- Draft Transaction Documents: Familiarize yourself with and draft transaction documents for various products and derivatives, such as structured notes, SPV notes, SPC funds, ISDA
swaps, GMRA repos, fixed income securities terms and conditions, and SAC/NAFMII swaps, based on master programs/agreements or asset terms and definitions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, quantitative finance, or other related quantitative fields from a globally recognized top university. An additional
degree or minor in law or equivalent academic experience is preferred;
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 6 years of full-time relevant experience in structuring or derivative/structuring trading in global FICC markets, asset-backed securitization/
structured financing execution in global IBD/DCM, related instrument rating at reputable global rating agencies, or legal experience in derivatives/structuring/securitization-related area
at reputable financial or other professional institutions;
- Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and logical abilities with a solid background in quantitative analysis;
- Track Record: Demonstrated history of principled, responsible, and self-disciplined behavior, with strong teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and deal-making skills;
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building bridges with knowledge and charisma;
- Work Ethic: Results-oriented, dedicated, and hardworking, able to work independently while under pressure. Must deliver on time with a high level of integrity, flexibility, sense of
urgency, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards;
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in written and spoken English. Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus.
